Escalation in the South: The Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee will convene to approve the draft of more soldiers to reserve duty.

The Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee will convene today (Thursday) at 13:00 to deliberate and vote on the Minister of Defense’s request to call up reserve soldiers through the Emergency Call-up Order (9) process due to the recent escalation in the Gaza Strip and Southern Israel.
Representatives of the Defense Ministry and the IDF will present the reasons for the call-up and the demand to declare an emergency situation on the Home Front in the Southern part of Israel.
