Sitting days

27.

(a)
|
The Knesset shall hold sittings on Mondays, Tuesdays and
Wednesdays.
|
|
|
|
|
(b)
|
The Speaker, with the approval of the House Committee, is
entitled to determine the number of sittings to be held each week, and their
times, and he is entitled, with approval as aforesaid, to cancel a sitting, set
an additional sitting, and set its time - whether on one of the days as stated
in clause (a) or on another weekday - and set the day on which a session of
the Knesset shall terminate, taking into account article 9 of the Knesset
Law 5754-1994.

(c)
|
The Speaker is entitled to change the times of a sitting, or
decide that a sitting be interrupted.

28.
|
The sittings of the Knesset shall be public, and publication
of their content is unlimited.

The minutes
|

29.

(a)
|
At sittings of the Knesset stenographic minutes shall be kept
of the entire course of the proceedings, of the motions, and of the results of
votes.1
|
|
|
|
|
(a1)
|
The minutes shall be edited by the editor of the Knesset
Record; Every Member of the Knesset shall receive a transcript of his own words
- including interjections - for correction, and he is entitled to correct
errors, mistakes and omissions; A Member wishing to so correct his words, shall
return the minutes to the editorial office of the Knesset Record within seven
days after receiving it.

(b)

Every Member of the Knesset is entitled to receive a copy of
the minutes.
|
|
|
|

(c)
|
The minutes shall be published in the Knesset
Record.

According to the accepted usage, the stenographic minutes and the Knesset Record
contain only what is orally said in the
plenum, whether from the podium, or as an
interjection. The printing of written additions, or of documents submitted by
Members of the Knesset, is not possible, and they must be integrated in the
speech itself; This restriction shall not apply to documents, which Ministers
request to append to their speeches. (HCR - 11.7.1972)
