Note:
The Prime Minister automatically assumes any ministerial position vacated until the
official appointment of another minister or acting minister.
On January 30, 1994, the Ministry of Education and Culture became the Ministry of Education, Culture, and Sport. The Ministry of Agriculture became the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development.
On August 1, 1993, the Ministry of Science and Technology became the Ministry of Science and the Arts.
On December 31, 1992 the Ministry of Jerusalem Affairs was closed.
Following the assassination of Yitzhak Rabin, Shimon Peres served as Acting Prime Minister and Acting Defense Minister.
