A parliamentary group formed by the Herut Movement and the Liberal Party towards the end of the Fifth Knesset. It was nicknamed "Gahal" for the acronym of its Hebrew name. It continued to exist until the establishment of the Likud towards the elections to the Eighth Knesset. Gahal joined Levi Eshkolís Government on the eve of the outbreak of the Six Day War, and remained in Governments led by Golda Meir until August 1970.
