A new immigrant list, headed by former Prisoner of Zion, Natan Sharansky, that ran in the elections for the Fourteenth to Sixteenth Knessets. In the course of the Fourteenth Knesset two MKs - Yuri Stern and Michael Nudelman - left it and formed a parliamentary group called "Aliya - our People for a Renewed Israel", and in the course of the Fifteenth Knesset, two MKs - Roman Bronfman and Alexander Zinker - left it and formed a parliamentary group called a "Party for Society and Reforms" (Mahar). In the elections to the Sixteenth Knesset, the list received only two seats, Sharansky resigned from the Knesset and the parliamentary group joined the Likud.
