Tehiya

Description:

A nationalist party established in October 1979 under the leadership of MK Geula Cohen. The party, that for a long period represented the Gush Emunim bloc, was elected to the Tenth and Twelfth Knessets. In the elections for the Eleventh Knesset, the Tehiya ran in a joint list with Tzomet, but in the course of that Knesset, the parliamentary group broke up, and the Tehiya returned to be an independent group. In the elections for the Thirteenth Knesset, the Tehiya did not pass the qualifying threshold.
