Arab Democratic Party |
 |
Description:
A parliamentary group formed towards the end of the Eleventh Knesset by elections of the MK Abdulwahab Darawshe, who left the Israel Labor Party against the background of the first Intifada. The Arab Democratic Party called for Israeli recognition of the PLO, for the establishment of a Palestinian state, and for the equality of Israeli Arabs. It ran independently in the elections for the Twelfth and Thirteenth Knessets, in a joint list with the United Arab List (2) in the elections for the Fourteenth Knesset, and in the United Arab List in the elections for the Fifteenth and Sixteenth Knessets.
At the end of the Eighteenth Knesset, MK Talab El-sana left the United Arab List and reestablished the Arab Democratic Party as its own parliamentary group.
