Special Address of the Knesset Speaker

The Ministers' table, during the debate on Tu Bishvat, 1971

Knesset Speaker Reuven Barkat:

I hereby open the Knesset sitting. With us today, as guests of the Knesset, are 120 soldiers from units stationed at front lines, and representatives of 27 military and civilian settlements that have been established since the Six Day War. They have come to take part in the Knesset’s holiday. We are happy to welcome them and greet them warmly.

This material is an unofficial translation of the "Divrei Haknesset" minutes.

(The remainder of the sitting was devoted to a debate regarding the current political and security situation of the State.)
